Do You Know How to Use Washi Tape?
If your stationery has a habit of going walk-about, try wrapping some washi tape around your pens and pencils. It's much easier to identify your belongings when you're trying to get them back. Also, if you have colored pens or pencils that aren't numbered, you could create a color swatch chart, using a different washi tape for each pen, to help you easily find the color you're looking for.
How about making a cute greeting card? This took less than 10 minutes to create, and I love the minimalist style. You can use washi tape to create many different styles, such as gift boxes, tiered birthday cakes, or funky Christmas trees.
You can create many different effects by simply cutting your washi tape in different ways. This allows you to add a variety of banners to your bullet journal pages, including bunting styles, arrows, and wavy edges.
You can use washi tape to create a really lovely and quick mood tracker in your journal. This can of course be adapted to match as many different moods as you wish to track. I've created this one to look like they are each hanging from a washing line.
For this simple project, place a strip of washi tape inside a paper clip and fold it in half. You can then cut the ends into flag shapes for a very simple decoration. They look beautiful and pop out of the top of your notebook.
I wrapped a few strips of washi tape around the label and added stickers for extra decoration. These are great for gift tags or tip journaling cards. Use different strips of washi tape for endless combinations.
Fold a strip of washi tape along the edge of the page, and you can quickly set up a color-coding system in your journal. You can choose to do this every month or select certain sections that you want to be able to quickly identify. I find it really helpful when I have a topic that spans several pages, knowing that they are all part of the same journal set.
Washi tape is really handy if you keep a junk journal. It helps you to quickly stick in postcards, happy mail, receipts and leaflets.
