How To Use Markers For Beginners?

There are two techniques for beginners to use marker pen: stroke drawing and coloring.

1. The marker pen is divided into two ends, thick and thin. The thick end is wider, and the line is neater and clearer. It is more suitable for large-area color selection. The side edge of the wide end can draw thinner lines. The thinner the line; the thinner end is rounder, which is more suitable for drawing some in-depth details, and the drawn line is thinner than the wide end. Therefore, when drawing with a marker pen, the brush strokes should be mainly arranged in lines, the wrist should be kept still, the pen tip should not leave the paper surface, and the lines and strokes should be organized in one direction and quickly and regularly.

2. The color saturation of the marker pen is relatively high, and the coloring is relatively fast. It is difficult to adjust and cover the color when drawing. Therefore, when coloring, you can first draw the light and dark tones with gray, and then paint the first time. Use a wide tip when applying the area color and apply a second coat after the first color dries.

When painting, the colors should not overlap too much, first apply the lighter color and then the darker color. Don't use too much force. If you can't achieve the expected drawing effect, you can use other drawing tools, such as colored pencils, etc. Too many strokes or overlapping strokes will stain the picture.
