The origin of Christmas
Christmas is around the corner. And you know, there are many versions about the origin of the Christmas. And one of those version is said that the day December 25 is the day most Christianities to celebrate the birth of Jesus. The theme for this day is love, family and sense of belonging.
It's said that there was no Christmas at first. The first Christmas in record was in 336. But the Bible doesn't indicate on what day was Jesus born, so different different Christmas days were celebrated in different times. Until 440, Roman church court fixed December 25 as the Christmas day.
From the 19th century, with the popularizing of Christmas and Santa Claus, most people, no matter they believe in Christian or not began to celebrate this day. In the Bible, Jesus was born at night, so the night of December 24 is known as the Christmas Eve.
And nowadays, most children have a Santa Claus in their minds. And many of them can receive the gift they are longing for from "Santa" secretly. Christmas becomes one of their most yearning festivals.
